Talking about money without awkwardness
Use the Job Outlook salary data — it's neutral, official, and gives students permission to talk about pay as a real factor.
Prompt: "If you worked in this role for 5 years, what could you afford?" — grounds abstract career talk in real life.
Coding isn't just for "tech people"
Show students that every sector above uses coding: agricultural sensors, medical imaging software, energy grid management, financial modelling.
Key message: The Thadus skills they already have are transferable into any of these industries.
What if they don't want a "career" yet?
Normalise gap years, part-time work, volunteering. The Apprenticeships site is a good bridge — students earn while they figure things out.
Avoid: implying there's one right path. The goal is informed choice, not pressure.
